Greg Conant grew up on his family’s walnut orchard in Sutter County. With his experience working on the family farm as well as his activeness in 4-H and FFA, Greg was destined to support agricultural and forest communities.

In 2015, Greg graduated Yuba College with an Associate Degree in Agriculture. He then went to Sonoma State University to continue his education. While attending Sonoma State University, Greg had an internship at a Non-Profit 501(c)(3), as a Smart Growth Intern. As an Intern, he researched and became knowledgeable on growth policies and open space protection. In addition, Greg even had time to manage the Sonoma State University Garden which provided food to a local food bank.

In 2017, with distinction, Greg graduated Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Planning. This honor led him in starting his career as an Assistant Planner in the County of Glenn.

In Greg’s free time he enjoys renovating his 122-year-old farmhouse located in Glenn County as well as cooking/grilling with his wife Bailey and *son* Rogue (see picture). Greg also enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
